The ecosystem of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir will soon collapse: LG

Srinagar (IANS). Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday said that the time is not far when the entire ecosystem of terrorism in the Union Territory will collapse.

Sinha was speaking at a gathering at the Mini Secretariat in Kulgam district. He said that separatism and terrorism are on death bed in Jammu and Kashmir.

He said, “It is time that every household in the Union Territory should come forward to reject terrorism so that the entire terror-eco-system collapses. I believe the time is not far when the terror-ecosystem will completely collapse.

“People should reject terrorism and its ecosystem and join the march of peace.”

Addressing the artists, the Lt Governor said that recently writers and artists from across the country exchanged ideas with each other in Srinagar.

He said, “Now the time has come for the writers and artists of Jammu and Kashmir to step forward and present the changing picture of Jammu and Kashmir through their art and writings.

“The administration is working sincerely to provide a platform to every community including the youth to shape their future by being a part of the journey of peace and change. The suffocated society for three decades has now started breathing freely.

“Jammu and Kashmir is currently ahead of other states in terms of development and creation of infrastructure.

“Those whose hands are stained with the blood of innocents can no longer fool the people. Too much blood of innocents has been shed in J&K.”

“In Kulgam district, 29 people were provided land under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) and not a single person is a non-J&K resident.

“As claimed by some politicians, not a single resident has been given land or house under PMAY. Those who encroached and encroached on state land are misleading people and creating confusion Are.”

The Lt Governor said, “I want to tell them that their days of playing politics of deceit are over.”
