Raipur: A girl who became a friend on Facebook cheated a youth of Rajnandgaon of Rs 52 lakh. Both of them had also met on June 23 in the coffee shop of Hotel Celebration. Anupam Agarwal (47), resident of Ganj Line Rajnandgaon, had contacted SK Monica on the social media group Facebook last June.

After the introduction, Monica sent a phone number and asked to connect on WhatsApp. Deposited Rs 52 lakh 395 through UPI in the name of investing in crypto currency. Neither the principal amount nor the profit. Anupam lodged a report on this fraud of the girl at Raipur Ganj police station last night. Police have registered under section 420,406 and started investigation with the help of cyber cell.
