Ranchi (IANS). In Jharkhand’s Ramgarh district, a youth kept his girlfriend hostage by tying her to a tree in a dense forest for four days. On knowing this, the villagers freed the girl. Tension arose between the two parties in the village regarding this incident. Eventually there was an agreement between the family of the young man and the girl and both were married.
Both youth Sarhul Munda and girl Roni Munda are residents of Jumra village of Sanki Panchayat of Barkakana OP area. The love affair was going on between the two for almost two years. A few days back, Sarhul got angry with girlfriend Ronnie over some issue. He took his girlfriend to the forest on the pretext of taking her for a walk and kept her hostage there.
However, during this time he kept arranging for food and water. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, when a village girl went to graze cattle in the forest, she saw Ronnie Munda tied to a tree. He came to the village and informed the villagers, then he was freed. Police was also informed.
In the meanwhile the Panchayat of the villagers sat. An agreement was made between the two families in the presence of the headman and the villagers. After this, in the presence of the police, the marriage of the lover-girlfriend was arranged.
