The glorious history of Sikh community is inspiring: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai
Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai Veer reached Mata Sundari Public School located at Kachari Chowk, Raipur on the occasion of Children’s Day. While inaugurating the exhibition set up in the school in the memory of Guru Gobind Singh’s Sahibzaads Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, he lit a lamp on the picture of the brave Sahibzaads and paid floral tributes to them. It is noteworthy that on Veer Bal Diwas, the sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s family and the martyrdom of his sons are being remembered.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, in his address on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, said that today it is our good fortune that we all have gathered here to celebrate Veer Bal Diwas. Today is the day of martyrdom of both the Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who despite the pressure and torture of the Mughals, did not give up and accepted martyrdom at the age of just six and nine years, for which they were selected in the wall. The Chief Minister said that the history of the Sikh community remains glorious due to such sacrifices.
Sai said that the work of bringing such glorious history of India in front of the people has been done by the Prime Minister of our country Shri Narendra Modi and I thank him for this. We all are proud of the fact that today has been declared as Veer Bal Diwas to remember Sahibzadas in the country and the world. Giving information about Mata Sundari Public School, Chief Minister Sai said that this school has been named after Mata Sundari, the mother of Veer Sahibzadas, I have my best wishes for this institution. It is my wish that this school continues to progress.
On this occasion, Sai said that whatever promise we have made in the guarantee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our government will definitely fulfill it. He said that under this guarantee, as soon as our government was formed, we decided to provide houses to 18 lakh eligible families in the state and on Good Governance Day, an amount of more than Rs 3700 crore has been transferred to the accounts of more than 12 lakh farmers.
Addressing the people present on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma said that he expresses his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for declaring today as Veer Bal Diwas in memory of the martyrdom of brave children. Expressing his gratitude to Chief Minister Sai, he said that in order to participate in the Veer Bal Diwas events, he canceled other programs and agreed to participate only in the Veer Bal Diwas. He said that the society will have to decide what the school children should take inspiration from and the children will have to be told how two small boys remained fearless and gave martyrdom and did not bow down before the enemies.
Chhattisgarh Government Minister Brijmohan Aggarwal, while congratulating everyone on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for celebrating it as a national event in the entire country. Aggarwal said Guru Gobind Singh taught his children to be fearless and not to bow down before their enemies. He said that the Sikh community is known for its service, dedication and sacrifice and bravery. On the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas programme, the Chief Minister was honored by the Sikh community by giving him a kirpan and a shawl and shriphal. School children presented Shabd Kirtan on this occasion. Chhattisgarh Government Minister OP Chaudhary along with MLAs, representatives of Sikh community and officials of the School Education Department were present in the program.
