The husband’s coffin was decorated, the wife also passed away

Korba. A few hours after the death of her husband in the district, the wife also sacrificed her life and supported her husband in his last journey.

In fact, within 24 hours after the death of 95-year-old Vashishtha Narayan Sinha, father of Santosh Kumar Sinha, resident of Pragati Nagar Deepka in the district, his mother i.e. 84-year-old Ramavati Devi, wife of Narayan Sinha, also sacrificed her life. After marriage, the husband and wife, who lived together for 72 years, were cremated in the same funeral pyre. Both of them left the house together. Seeing this, the eyes of the colony residents became moist.

It is being told that Vashishtha Narayan Sinha died on Friday. Ramavati Devi was fainting several times while mourning. The next day i.e. today, when all the family members reached Deepka from a distant village and started decorating the bier for the last rites, Ramavati Devi died near the bier in the absence of her husband.
