‘The Lady Killer’ flops for Rs 45 crore

The Lady Killer; Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar’s thriller film ‘The Lady Killer’ has created a unique record. The so-called film, made for a total of Rs 45 crore, has barely earned Rs 1 lakh at the box office. It is also believed that the film was released after making half of the original script.

It is said that there were serious differences between the film’s director Ajay Bahl and actors Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar. Therefore the film was left half-finished. One day suddenly its trailer was released and within a few days the film was released in theatres.

Arjun and Bhumi themselves did not do any publicity for this film. It is being told that this film has been released in hardly 12 to 15 theaters across the country. It did not get even 300 viewers to watch it on the first day and its first day collection was Rs 38 thousand. It is said that the incomplete film was hastily released theatrically as a formality to sell it on the OTT platform. Ajay Bahl Has admitted that many parts of the script were not shot. However, he denied any differences between him and the actors.
