The lover brutally killed the girl, knife marks all over her body
Navi Mumbai: A 20-year-old woman was brutally murdered in Navi Mumbai. The murder was allegedly carried out by her boyfriend. After the murder, her body was dumped in bushes near Uran railway station in Navi Mumbai. Police said the deceased has been identified as Yashashri Shinde, who was missing earlier.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Vivek Pansare said the police received a call around 2 am informing them that the body of a girl was found in bushes near Uran railway station. Officials said there were multiple wounds and knife marks on the body, which indicated that she was brutally murdered.
Yashashri Shinde was a resident of Uran and worked in Belapur, which is around 25 km from her home. Initial police investigations revealed that the murder was committed after a love affair went wrong. Yashashri’s boyfriend was also reported missing along with her and is yet to be traced. According to the police, he is the prime suspect in the case.
“Our initial investigation suggests that the murder was due to a love affair. The girl’s boyfriend is also missing and a search is on for him. A murder case has been registered and five police teams have been formed to nab him,” an official said, NDTV reported.
