Faridkot (Punjab): A unique case of ransom demand has come to light in Faridkot, Punjab. Two masked miscreants riding a bike gave a box of sweets to a renowned doctor here. When the doctor opened the box, he found a letter in it, in which it was written that if the ransom was not paid, his life and property could be in danger. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV installed at the spot.
In fact, on Friday, two masked criminals demanded a ransom of Rs 1.5 lakh from the famous doctor Bhavesh Goyal, resident of Faridkot. After this Bhavesh Goyal complained about the matter to the police. The police have registered an FIR in the matter on the complaint of the doctor. Now on the basis of police CCTV, the police have identified both the masked miscreants.
The SHO told that a day ago two masked miscreants on a bike had come to Bhavesh Goyal, a renowned doctor of Faridkot. He had put a ransom letter in a sweet box and demanded a ransom of Rs 1.5 lakh. We have identified both the miscreants on the basis of CCTV. They will be arrested soon.
Let us tell you that earlier during a wedding ceremony in Amritsar, firing started between two parties. Actually, it was an encounter between miscreants and police. Police had received information that 3 wanted criminals were going to attend a wedding at HiFi Resort located in Varpal village on Tarn Taran Road. The police tried to catch them on the way but they started running away.
According to Amritsar Police, miscreants opened fire on the SHO. After this cross firing started between the criminals and the police. Police also said that the families of both the bride and groom did not know the criminals. DSP Sucha Singh said that the police have arrested all the three miscreants and further investigation of the case is going on.
