Rekha Srivastava (43), a resident of Kaudia, is the sarpanch of the husband Dharmendra Srivastava village. On Monday night at around 10 o’clock, she was sleeping along with her family after having dinner. Around 12 o’clock someone knocked on the door outside the main gate. Sarpanch along with her husband Dharmendra Srivastava and servant Nanki Sahu got up and went to the courtyard to see, then the sound of abusing was heard outside. Dwarika God of the village, Rajkumar Kenvat and one of his companions were threatening to kill the Sarpanch and threatening the Sarpanch and his family members to come out. During this, the miscreants ransacked the door. Then went inside and tried to break open the other door. And as soon as the sarpanch husband called his companions, the miscreants ran away.

The sarpanch and his family members went to the terrace and dialed 112 to inform about the incident. But, the police did not reach the spot. Here, at around 2.30 in the night, the three miscreants again came there and tried to set fire to the wooden door by burning tires in front of the house. On making noise, all three ran away from there. The upper part of the door got burnt in the incident.
