The miscreants looted 14 lakh rupees from the bank, stabbed the customer
Biharsharif (IANS). In Nalanda district of Bihar, miscreants targeted the bank on Tuesday. The miscreants looted about 14 lakh rupees from Dakshin Bihar Gramin Bank located at Oiyav Bazar of Asthawan police station area in broad daylight on the strength of weapons and fled. During this, the miscreants stabbed a customer with a knife, injuring him.
According to the police, the number of miscreants is said to be nine, who barged into the bank during the lunch break and overpowered the bank staff and customers at gunpoint. According to the customers, the miscreants also fired in the air to create panic.
It is said that the miscreants escaped after looting about 14 lakhs. In this sequence, the miscreants also attacked a customer named Pappu Chaudhary with a knife, due to which he was injured.
There was not a single guard present for the security of this bank. Because of this, the miscreants carried out the incident in 10 to 15 minutes. The miscreants damaged the CCTV and computer.
After getting the information, Sadar Deputy Superintendent of Police Shibli Nomani and police of several police stations reached the spot and started investigating the matter. Nomani told that the police is probing the whole matter. Raids are being conducted to arrest the miscreants.
