On the day of Dhanteras, the entire village was busy preparing for Diwali. At that time some people in the village were doing cleaning and painting work. Meanwhile, in the evening a person named Dharamlal was attacked by a young man with a tangiya. After the attack on the head, Dharamlal collapsed on the spot and died. After this the attacker fled from the spot.
After the incident, there was an atmosphere of tension in the entire village. Here, the relatives of the deceased and the villagers accused the Mulmula police of not taking action even after the complaint. The uproar continued throughout the night, finally in the morning the police sent the body for post-mortem. Meanwhile, during the investigation, it was revealed that the reason for the murder was a land dispute.
Earlier also there had been a dispute between the two parties regarding planting and harvesting of crops on the same land. During the investigation in the case, the police have arrested three accused. The police have also seized sharp weapons, sticks and sticks from the accused.
