The path of simplicity and truth is the path to real happiness, peace and fame: President Murmu

Motihari . President Draupadi Murmu on Thursday attended the first convocation of Mahatma Gandhi Central University in Bihar’s East Champaran district. Addressing the people on this occasion, he said that to understand and assimilate the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi, you all will have to understand the good results of simplicity and truth.

She said that I say with a firm belief based on experience that the path of simplicity and truth is the path to real happiness, peace and fame. Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar were also present in the ceremony organized at Motihari, East Champaran district headquarters.

Discussing history, the President said that about 106 years ago in Champaran, on the advice of Gandhiji, people adopted the path of social equality and unity and forced the British rule to bow down.

He said that even today the same path of social equality and unity will take the countrymen forward on the path of modern development and India will be recognized as a developed country.

Expressing happiness, President Murmu said that about 60 percent of the students securing first position in various educational programs of Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Motihari are girls. I see the shape of a developed India of the future in the excellent performance and growing self-confidence of promising girl students.

The President is scheduled to address the convocation ceremony of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Patna in the evening. After becoming the President, Murmu reached Bihar for the first time on a three-day visit on Wednesday. She is staying in Raj Bhavan. The President will attend the convocation ceremony of South Bihar Central University located in Gaya district on Friday.
