Barabanki: A tent businessman, along with some members, attacked the inspector with a pipe when he arrived to settle the dispute over two broken chairs of a tent in the fair held in Hetmapur village of Mohammadpur Khala police station in Barabanki district of UP. The inspector was beaten to death. Has suffered serious injuries. He has been admitted to CHC Suratganj. Police have registered a case and are searching for the accused.
On Wednesday morning, during the three-day fair organized at the Samadhi of Baba Narayan Das in Hetmapur village of Mohammadpur Khala police station area, shopkeeper Chhotalal of Rampur Mathura police station of Sitapur, who had set up shop in the fair, had gone to return the rented chairs to Anwar, the tent owner of Hetmapur village. A fight broke out between the shopkeeper and the tent businessman over two chairs being broken. Chhotalal informed about this at Lalpur post. Inspector Rajaram along with some soldiers reached the house of tent businessman Anwar. During interrogation, Anwar Ali and some members of the house attacked Inspector Rajaram with an iron pipe due to which the Inspector suffered injuries on his face. The soldiers immediately admitted him to CHC Suratganj.
On the complaint of Inspector Rajaram, cases have been registered against nine people including Anwar Ali, his wife Sammo alias Haseena, Rumi and son Chhotu, Sanu, daughter Ruby and sister Zakira, son-in-law, lawyer and his wife Subi under various sections including attempt to murder, being tied to government work. A case has been registered. Police have detained Sammo alias Haseena, lawyer and Zakira. Six people are absconding. In this regard, Inspector-in-charge Vinod Kumar Yadav said that a case has been registered against nine people under serious sections. Three people have been arrested and sent to court.
