The process of budget allocation for the construction agency of Government Engineering College, Jaipur is under process.
Minister of State for Technical Education, Dr. Subhash Garg told the Vidhan Sabha on Friday that the Government Engineering College, Jaipur has been shifted to a temporary building in the premises of Ramchandra Khaitan Polytechnic College. He told that from the session 2023-24 Biomedical, CS, A. Admission process has been started in I. and Civil Engineering branch and academic staff is being engaged for academic work under Vidya Sambal Yojana.
The Minister of State for Technical Education was answering the supplementary questions asked by the member in this regard during the Question Hour. Earlier, in a written reply to the original question of MLA Mr. Ashok Lahoti, he said that in the budget for the year 2022-23, Chief Minister Mr. Ashok Gehlot has announced to set up an engineering college in the premises of Government Ramchandra Khaitan Polytechnic College, Jaipur. He informed that after approval from AICTE, New Delhi and inclusion in the admission process of Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP)-2023, the admission process has been started from session 2023-24. He informed that an amount of Rs 25.97 crore has been allocated for the financial year 2023-24, out of which Rs 20.20 crore is allocated for construction work and machinery and the remaining amount is allocated for salary etc. and the expenditure is under process.
Dr. Garg told that the DPR for the new building for the Government Engineering College, Jaipur has been prepared. After getting administrative approval from the Finance Department, the process of budget allocation for the construction agency is under process. The Principal / Nodal Officer has been appointed for this college from March 17, 2023. He said that for this college, the Assistant Accounts Officer-II has been appointed from June 7, 2023, by the Directorate of Treasury and Accounts, Rajasthan, Jaipur. Ministerial staff are also being appointed.
