‘The Revenge’ takes the box office by storm

Entertainment: Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues its impressive run at the box office, crossing the milestone of ₹1,023 crore in India in just 11 days of its release. The film also added ₹342 crore from overseas markets, taking its global collection to remarkable new heights.
In the country, the film has recorded a net collection of ₹867 crore in India, thanks to a strong weekend surge. The film earned ₹42 crore on Friday, followed by ₹64 crore on Saturday and ₹71 crore on Sunday, maintaining audience interest in its second week.
Released on March 19, the film stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role, alongside R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.
The makers confirmed the box office figures through an official social media post, showcasing the film’s poster and its impressive collection numbers, and stating, “Dhurandhar: The Revenge owns the moment, the screen, and the world.”
Set in Lyari, Karachi, the film depicts gang wars, intelligence missions, and major geopolitical events such as the Kandahar plane hijacking, the 2001 Parliament attack, and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. The story traces the rise of Ranveer Singh’s character, Hamza Ali Mazari, in the Karachi underworld, as well as his transformation from Jaskirat Singh Rangi to an intelligence operative.
