The role of self-help groups is important in making women self-reliant – one day training by NABARD at DDM Meena Ajitgarh
NABARD organized a one-day training program for the office bearers and members of self-help groups in Ajitgarh town of the district. The program was presided over by the chief guest DDM Sikar ML Meena and progressive farmer Padma Shri Jagdish Pareek. Program coordinator Ramavtar Pareek said that more than 80 women associated with various self-help groups of Ajitgarh area participated in the training.
Chief Guest DDM Sikar and Assistant General Manager NABARD ML Meena said that self-help groups have an important role in the upliftment and empowerment of women in the country. More and more women should become self-reliant by joining self-help groups. At the same time, he encouraged all women associated with self-help groups to start self-employment by taking advantage of various government schemes through banks, following the “five principles” so that everyone can contribute to the inclusive development of the country and all sections can also get its benefits.
On this occasion, youth and women associated with various organizations, NGOs and self-help groups expressed their views and called upon women to become self-reliant.
Chandni Kaushik from RSETI, Rajkumar Kumawat from Vinayak Mahila Samiti etc. also addressed the participants in the programme.
