A car came at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour and jumped 7-8 feet in the air, breaking the perimeter of Sector 8 Chowk. Three people were badly injured in this. According to information received from Bhilai Nagar Police, the incident occurred at 1.30 pm. Eyewitnesses said that three people were traveling in the Swift Dezire car. The car came at high speed from Globe Chowk. The driver and his companions were drunk. Due to this, the driver could not control the car and collided with the square.

As soon as the collision took place, the car jumped 7-8 feet in the air and broke the iron railing and entered the big round square. Due to this the fountain inside also broke. By the time Bhilai Nagar police reached the spot after receiving the information, the boys from the other car coming behind sent the injured to the hospital for treatment. The car is registered in the name of one Ghanshyam Singh Sengar.
