Punjab: A wedding celebration turned tragic when the bride’s parents and aunt died in a road accident shortly after the wedding ceremony. The deceased were identified as Sirhind businessman Ashok Nanda, his wife Kiran Nanda, and the bride’s aunt Renu Bala. They were returning home from Ludhiana when the incident occurred.
The Toyota Innova car they were travelling in collided with a truck ahead of them on the national highway on the outskirts of Ludhiana after the driver suddenly applied the brakes. The impact of the collision was so severe that three people in the car died on the spot. Two other people in the car, later identified as the bride’s uncle and aunt, were seriously injured and are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
