Bhopal (IANS) | Before the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, the phase of tussle has started once again in the Congress. On the other hand, where questions are being raised about the future Chief Minister, the rhetoric of the same leaders among themselves has also intensified. After senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi did not give a direct answer on who would be the chief ministerial face of the Congress in the state, a new kind of debate has erupted within the Congress. The first question was raised by Leader of Opposition Govind Singh and cited the party constitution, and even said that what would happen if the one who would be declared as the face of the Chief Minister loses the election.
After this statement of Govind Singh came to the fore, former minister Sajjan Singh Verma even mentioned about Govind Singh’s habit of forgetting. Verma said that it was decided in the meeting of all the big leaders of the state in the presence of Rahul Gandhi that the assembly elections would be contested under the leadership of Kamal Nath.
First came the statement of Govind Singh and after that, as soon as the statement of Sajjan Verma came, there was a stir in the politics of the state and jokes were taken from the BJP. Only then came the clarification of Govind Singh and he cited the constitution, and also said that it was decided in the meeting of big leaders in Delhi that the election would be contested under the leadership of Kamal Nath. Political analysts believe that factionalism and tussle have been common in the Congress. After Kamal Nath became the president, there was a stop on this, but now the situation has changed as soon as the elections are near. The ambition of many leaders has started hitting Hilore and this is the reason why Govind Singh’s statement has come to the fore.
