UP: The body of an unknown person found in a sack in the drain of Sarfabad in Noida on June 26 has now been identified. That body was of a man living in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, who was murdered by his wife with her lover by strangulating him. The police have arrested the woman, her lover and the lover’s brother. After killing the woman, the lover had brought the body in a sack on a scooter to Noida and fled after throwing it in the drain.

DCP Rambadan Singh said that on June 26, the body of a person was found in a stitched sack in the drain in Sarfabad. Even after a lot of efforts, the body could not be identified. After this, ACP Shaivya Goyal formed a team, which was collecting information about missing persons registered in police stations of Delhi-NCR and other districts and contacting their relatives. The police of Indirapuram police station contacted Noida police on Monday and informed that the body thrown in the drain in Sarfabad has been identified as Pappu Singh, a resident of Vaishali in Bihar.

Pappu was murdered by his wife Manisha with the help of her lover Pankaj Saxena. Pankaj’s brother Atul also helped them in this murder. After this, Noida police took all three into custody and started interrogation. After confessing to the murder, all three were produced before the court on Tuesday, from where the accused were sent to 14 days judicial custody.

Pankaj took a rented room in Nyaykhand-2 G-625 near the petrol pump to carry out the incident. As per the plan, Pankaj called Pappu to the rented room on June 24, saying that he would drink alcohol and end the quarrel. Pankaj and Atul made Pappu drink a lot of alcohol. After this, Manisha reached the room and all three together strangled Pappu to death with a plastic rope. Manisha had registered a missing report of her husband Pappu on 2 July at Indirapuram police station. The police called Manisha several times to give a statement but she would make some excuse every time. This made the police suspicious of her. When the woman was questioned strictly, she broke down and confessed to getting her husband killed by her lover. Currently, Pappu was living with his wife Manisha in a rented room in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad.
