The young man was set on fire after demanding loan money, due to which his condition is critical.
Kalahandi: Borrowing money turned out to be an expensive business for a youth in Kalahandi district of Odisha, said reports. The miscreants poured petrol on the young man and set him on fire.
Reports say that the news has come from Bhavanipatna area of Kalahandi. A 28-year-old man named Anjan Padhi lived behind a petrol pump at Kasakendu square, Bhavanipatna. He had lent 2 lakh rupees to a man. He had been asking for his money for a long time.
However, on Wednesday, when he went to ask for his money again, there was an argument between them. In haste, the miscreant poured petrol on Ranjan’s body and set it on fire and fled the scene.
Some people rushed Anjan, the youth in Kalahandi who was in a critical condition to Bhavanipatna headquarter hospital (DHH) for treatment. However, when he was not in a condition to say anything. Later, Anjan said that he asked for the borrowed money when the miscreants started the fire by pouring petrol on him. Later he was transferred to Burla Medical College and hospital as his condition deteriorated.
However, till the time of filing of the article, no notice was given in the town police station. On the other hand, the identity of the accused is not known.
