
Raigarh. Kotwali police has achieved success in bike theft and recovered the stolen scooty from Purani Hatri and arrested the accused. Police has caught 20-year-old Deepak Karsh, resident of Chandmari Raigarh with a stolen Honda Activa scooty (vehicle number CG 13 AJ 9762). The theft of this scooty was reported on January 12 by Sandeep Agarwal, resident of Purani Hatri, at Kotwali police station, on the basis of which the police registered a case against the unknown accused under crime number 23/2025 section 303 (2) BNS and started investigation.
Today afternoon, Kotwali police station in-charge inspector Sukhnandan Patel received information from an informer that a young man is looking for a customer to sell a scooty near Bade Rampur Fountain Chowk. As soon as the information was received, the police team was sent to the spot, where Deepak Karsh, who was discussing with people selling the scooty, was questioned on the basis of suspicion. When he was asked for the documents of the scooty, he could not produce any valid documents. On strict interrogation, he admitted that he had stolen the said scooty in January and had hidden it. The police immediately seized the scooty and arrested the accused.
The estimated price of the stolen scooty is said to be around Rs 20,000. Accused Deepak Karsh has been arrested and sent on remand. In this entire operation, under the leadership of police station in-charge Sukhnandan Patel, head constable Heman Patre, constable Bhagwati Ratnakar, Roshan Ekka, Govind Patel and the team of cyber cell played an important role.
