Late Friday evening, a youth named Suraj, a resident of Nayapara, set his own Activa vehicle on fire. People told that the young man parked his car in the middle of Bannak Chowk and put petrol in it and set it on fire. In no time, the Activa was completely gutted. Suddenly such an incident created chaos. To see this incident, there was a line of vehicles on both sides of the main road. On getting information about the incident, the Sirgitti police reached the spot and doused the fire in the Activa, but by then the vehicle was completely gutted.
After setting fire to his own car, the youth fled from there. Station in-charge Paurush Purre said that the real reason for setting fire to the young man’s car is yet to be ascertained. In depression, the young man must have taken this step. The exact reason will come out only after investigation.
