Theft at contractor and teacher, thieves executed the incident in a single night
Rajnandgaon. There is no brake on the thefts happening in the city. In two days, there has been theft in two houses of Jeevan Colony area. Both these houses were deserted. Here the lock of two shops in the market square of the city Somni has been broken. This incident happened in a single night. In solving all the cases, the police is scanning the footage of CC cameras.
Jewelery worth lakhs has been stolen from the house of contractor Mo. Gaus Sheikh, who lives in the apartment of Jeevan Colony. Mo. Gaus’s family was away for the last seven days when the woman working in their house informed them about the lock of the flat being broken. After this the family is returning. No FIR has been registered in the matter so far. Because of this, the value of the stolen goods could not be ascertained. But police sources said that jewelery and cash worth Rs 10 lakh were stolen from the house. Basantpur police, cyber cell and dog squad also reached the spot after the theft was reported. The police also searched the surrounding areas. Apart from this, the footage of the surrounding CC cameras including the apartment is also being scrutinised.
50 thousand has been stolen from the empty house of the teacher in Jeevan Colony itself. This includes cash and jewellery. Teacher Kamal Kumar Dewangan currently resides in Churia’s government residence. He has hired a lady to clean his house. When she reached home on the morning of July 11, she informed them after seeing the lock of the house broken. When they reached the house, the lock of the main gate of the house was broken, things were scattered inside. On the other hand, by breaking the locker of the almirah, the unknown accused had stolen gold and silver jewelery along with 26 thousand rupees in cash. Till late evening concrete clue could not be found in the case of theft, while the actual amount of theft could not be revealed due to non-availability of the victim’s family.
