Theft in government museum, stir in archeology department
Korba. Thieves have carried out a major theft incident in the district. Unknown thieves have burgled the museum of the Archaeological Department. Thieves ran away from here with other items including guns, swords, jewelry and coins of ancient times. On the information of the incident, the police reached the spot and started investigation. This matter belongs to the Civil Line Police Station area.
According to the information, theft has taken place in the museum of the Archaeological Department located under the Civil Line Police Station area of Korba. When the in-charge of District Archeology reached the office in the morning, he came to know about the incident. Thieves broke the lock of the museum and took away guns, swords, jewelry and coins of ancient times and other items kept there. It is being told that swords, guns, jewelry and coins were collected during the zamindari time of Queen Dhanraj Kunwar of Korba. After the information about the incident of theft, the Civil Line Police Station reached the spot and started the investigation. Archaeological Officer Hari Singh gave a written complaint in the police station and also informed the Additional Collector about the incident.
