Theft of lakhs from an abandoned house during elections, case registered
Raipur. A major theft incident is reported in Tikrapara police station area of the capital. In which a couple lived in Rawatpura Phase One and this incident happened between last afternoon and night. Where both the husband and wife had gone for work but behind their back some unknown thieves broke the lock of the house and went to the office today. In the afternoon, unknown thieves entered their house and stole jewelery and cash worth lakhs. Giving information about the case in which cash and jewelery were stolen, the applicant has registered a crime at Tikrapara police station.
The victim has told the police that last evening at around 07.30 pm, after coming back from Duchy, when he opened the lock of the iron gate and went inside, he saw that the latch of the main door of the house was broken. The door was locked and when we went inside, we found the door of the cupboard in the bedroom open. The locker was broken.
When the goods were checked on suspicion of theft, they kept in Amalmari’s locker (01) One piece of gold queen necklace (2) Two pieces of gold necklace (3) Two pieces of gold chain (4) One piece of diamond ring (5) 5 Gold rings (6) 5 gold nose pins (7) 5 pairs of gold earrings (8) One pair of gold bracelets (9) 10 pairs of silver anklets (10) 10 pairs of silver rings and cash amount approximately Rs 35,000. Jumla was not worth Rs 2,51,000. An unknown thief entered the house during the day by breaking the latch of the main door of the victim’s house, broke the locker of the cupboard and stole the gold and silver jewelery and cash kept in the cupboard.
