Theft of lakhs from an abandoned house, two accused arrested
Raipur. Shabnam Iqbal lodged a report in Police Station Pandari that she lives in Avanti Garden Colony, Daldal Seoni Pandari Raipur and is a housewife. The applicant’s husband Shaukat Iqbal is working as Senior Branch Manager in LIC Office Pandari Raipur. On 06.11.2023, at around 07:00 AM, the applicant admitted her husband to Ramakrishna Hospital, Pachpedi Naka, Raipur for treatment and returned home. Then, on 06.11.2023, at around 04:00 PM, she locked her house and switched on both the front lights and went to Ramakrishna Hospital. She went to Pachpedi Naka and stayed in the hospital at night. On 07.11.2023, in the morning, the maid working at the applicant’s house called the applicant’s mobile phone and informed that the lock of the door of the house was broken and there was a theft in the house, on which the applicant came home and saw that there was a lock in the door of her house. An unknown accused broke the lock with a rod and entered the house, opened the locks of all three cupboards, threw out the clothes and goods kept in the cupboard and stole the cash and gold and silver jewelery kept in the cupboard. On the report of the applicant, crime number 356/23 section 457, 380 IPC was registered against the unknown accused in police station Pandari. The crime of was registered.
Taking the theft incident seriously, Senior Superintendent of Police Prashant Aggarwal directed Additional Superintendent of Police City Lakhan Patle, City Superintendent of Police Civil Line Manoj Dhruv and police station in-charge Pandari to trace and arrest the unknown accused as soon as possible. On which, under the direction of senior officers and under the leadership of police station in-charge Pandari, the team of police station Pandari started to trace the unknown accused by making detailed inquiries of the nearby people including the applicant and her maid in relation to the incident. Team members installed CCTV cameras in and around the incident site. Along with observing the camera footage, efforts were also being made to identify the unknown accused by appointing an informer in the case. Meanwhile, the members of the team involved in the arrest of the unknown accused received important information regarding the accused Pandari residents Amir Khan, Karan Tandi and a child who was in conflict with the law, involved in the incident, on which the team members arrested Amir Khan, Karan Tandi and the law. The child who was struggling with the drug was traced and caught. On the basis of the evidence obtained, when all three were strictly interrogated regarding the incident of theft, all three were said to have committed the said incident of theft. On which the three were arrested and the entire stolen Mashrooka, gold and silver jewelery and cash worth about Rs 1,00,000/- were seized from their possession and Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code was registered in the case. Action was taken against the pair and all three.
