There will be heavy rain in the state in the next 36 hours, alert issued in these districts
Raipur. Due to the impact of the monsoon system, Yellow and Orange alerts have been issued in Chhattisgarh for the next 24 to 36 hours. During this period, lightning may also occur along with heavy rainfall in some areas. The Meteorological Department says that there will be no significant change in the maximum and minimum temperature.
On Monday, it was cloudy in various areas of the state including Raipur. Along with this, there was light rain in some areas. Meteorologists say that the weather pattern will remain the same and there is no sign of change in any way. Since June 1 till now, there has been almost 11 per cent less rainfall in the state than normal. Surguja has received the least rainfall, while Raipur has received above normal rainfall. The Meteorological Department said that a low pressure area is located in the middle of the North Bay of Bengal and it is likely to intensify into a depression in the next 12 hours while moving in the northwest direction.
Due to its effect, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in the state on Tuesday and Wednesday and heavy rain in some areas. It has been raining heavily since the onset of monsoon in Chhattisgarh, for the past few days, due to incessant rains in many areas of the state, the life of common people has been affected. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for the next two days, during which it has expressed the possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in many districts of the state.
According to the latest update of the Meteorological Department, this alert has been issued for tomorrow i.e. till 8.30 am on August 2, during which there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in Jashpur, Balrampur, Korba, Surajpur and Raigarh districts. At the same time, heavy rain alert has been issued in the surrounding districts including Surguja, Pendra and Bilaspur. During this, there is a possibility of lightning accompanied by thunderstorms, due to which people have been appealed to come out only when necessary.
