These fasts and festivals including Vishwakarma Jayanti, monthly Shivratri will fall this week

The second week of the month of September has started from today i.e. 11th September 2023. Today is the Dwadashi date of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month and today Ashlesha Nakshatra will also be there. From the point of view of worship, this week is going to be very special because many fasts and festivals like Vishwakarma Jayanti, Pradosh Vrat, Monthly Shivratri etc. will be observed this week. Not only this, the transit of Mercury is also going to take place in the second week of September. So let us tell you today which fasts and festivals will fall between 11-17 September 2023.
According to the Hindu calendar, Bhaum Pradosh Vrat will be observed on Tuesday, 12 September 2023. Let us tell you that Pradosh Vrat falling on Tuesday is called Bhaum Pradosh Vrat. Similarly, Budha Pradosh Vrat if it falls on Wednesday, Guru Pradosh Vrat if it falls on Thursday, Shukra Pradosh Vrat if it falls on Friday, Shani Pradosh Vrat if it falls on Saturday is called Ravi Pradosh Vrat. On the day of Pradosh Vrat, Lord Shiva is worshiped and fast is observed. The auspicious time for Bhaum Pradosh Vrat Puja will be from 06:30 pm to 08:49 pm.
According to the Panchang, monthly Shivratri of Bhadrapada month will be celebrated on Wednesday, 13 September 2023. There is a tradition of worshiping Lord Shiva on this day. It is said that by observing monthly Shivratri fast, Lord Shiva showers his blessings on the devotees. The auspicious time for worship on this day is 12:40 pm on 13th September. Whereas during Pradosh period, the auspicious time for puja is from 5.11 pm to 8.36 pm.
Amavasya of Bhadrapada month will be celebrated on Thursday, 14 September 2023. It is also known as Bhado Pithori or Pithori Amavasya. On the day of Bhadrapada Amavasya, worship will be done for the ancestors.
According to the Hindu calendar, like every year, this year too Vishwakarma Puja will be celebrated on Sunday, 17 September 2023. It is believed that by worshiping Lord Vishwakarma as per the rituals on this day, all the wishes are fulfilled and happiness and prosperity comes to the house.
Let us tell you that in the second week of September i.e. on 16 September 2023, the prince of planets, Mercury is going to move into Leo at 01:21 pm.
