Chhattisgarhi special Puran Laddu is often made at weddings. This laddu has two sizes, one small and the other big. Small size laddus are made to serve guests at home, while larger size laddus are made to feed the daughter’s in-laws. This laddu is not like ordinary laddu, it is filled with dough inside and a layer of boondi is stuck on it. This laddu, which is very tasty to eat, is considered an integral part of weddings. No matter what kind of wedding it is, Puran Laddus is always made. Everyone can make ordinary boondi laddu, but the method of making this puran laddu is different from the others. How to make Puran Laddu
To make Puran Laddu, first make boondi. For this, take gram flour (gram flour recipes) in a bowl and add water to it and beat it well so that the gram flour becomes soft and makes fluffy boondi.
Heat oil in a pan and pour the gram flour batter in a jar or vessel for making boondi and make boondi.
Bake all the boondi thoroughly and keep it aside in a plate.
Make jaggery syrup. For this, add jaggery and water in a pan, cook well and turn off the flame.
Make puran or stuffing to fill in the middle of laddu. For this, put wheat flour in a pan and fry it well.
It has to be roasted until a good aroma comes from it.
Once the flour is roasted, let it cool and add half a bowl of ghee and sugar powder to it and mix.
While mixing the flour, if you want, you can mix dry fruit clippings, cardamom powder, coconut powder in it.
Now make laddus from wheat flour and keep aside.
Now mix boondi (boondi recipes) in sugar syrup, heat it well and paste or coat it on the dough laddus.
Your Chhattisgarhi Puran Laddu is ready, you can taste it anytime except during marriage.
