These women will get Rs. 6 thousand, know about Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana
Raipur. Under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, a target has been set to benefit more than two lakh women in Chhattisgarh in the financial year 2023-24. Of these, the target is to benefit one lakh 46 thousand beneficiaries for the first child and 75 thousand beneficiaries for the second girl child. Under the Mission Shakti scheme run by the Government of India, there is a provision to give Rs 5,000 in two installments to the woman on the birth of her first child and Rs 6,000 in lump sum if the second child is a girl. The aim of the state government is to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries get 100 percent benefit of the scheme.
Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana has been started in all the districts of the country from July 1, 2017 with the aim of improving the nutritional level of pregnant and lactating women and ensuring payment of security amount for loss in wages during pregnancy. Under the scheme, all pregnant women and lactating mothers, except those pregnant women and lactating mothers who are in regular employment with the Central Government or State Governments or Public Undertakings or who are in receipt of similar benefits under any law for the time being in force, Single mothers are eligible.
