Thief gang busted, three youth arrested
Sahibganj: Interstate robbery gang has been busted in the district. The police were successful in arresting three youths and 71 stolen cell phones of various companies. Police is interrogating him.
Based on confidential information, the police arrested these three people from Tinfar police station area. Police arrested the tractor driver and two teenagers. This time these thugs went to Kaliachek in West Bengal with the help of tractors instead of vehicles like motorcycles and jeeps. These people were preparing to destroy all the stolen cellphones in Bangladesh.
Ganj SP Naushad Alam told in the press conference, three youths have been arrested with 71 stolen mobile phones of different companies. All three youths live in Timpahar. The market value of the stolen phone is said to be Rs 25 lakh. According to SP, this is an interstate robbery gang. The thieves admitted that the mobile phones were collected from other parts of the region and distributed across West Bengal, Bihar and other states. People here use small children to steal cell phones. Small children do not worry and can easily take it out from their bag while walking on the road or buying vegetables. Therefore, there is a big gang active in this area which will be eliminated soon and other people may also be arrested in this case. At present, preparations are underway to take the three arrested teenagers into custody.
