Thieves wearing burqa busted, two arrested
Mumbai (ANI): Mumbai Police has arrested two thieves who allegedly committed theft while wearing a burqa.
The gang was busted when CCTV footage showed two men wearing burqas entering a house in Andheri’s MIDC area on November 3 and stealing jewelery and money.
According to the information received from the police, on November 3 at around 11 am, a woman living in a building in the MIDC area of Andheri, while leaving the house to drop her younger daughter to school, closed the door of the house from outside and took the child to school. Went. When she came home, she saw that the door of her house was open, the woman immediately went inside and checked and found that some gold and money were missing from the house.
After the woman lodged a complaint at the nearby MIDC police station, the police registered a case against an unidentified person under sections 380 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and started further investigation.
Police checked the CCTV footage of the building and saw two men wearing burqas entering the house. When they investigated further, the police found out that it was not a woman but a man wearing a burqa.
Police have arrested Raees Abdul Shaikh and Wasim Khalid Khan from Mumbai in the theft case.
The arrest of Sheikh and Khan is a relief for the people of Mumbai, who were living in fear of the burqa gang. This gang had been operating for several months and had committed many thefts in the city.
The police are still investigating the case and trying to identify other gang members. They are also urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police.
