Actor Rahul Roy, who made his Bollywood debut with the film ‘Aashiqui’, had a brain stroke in the year 2020 during the shooting of his film ‘LAC – Live the Battle’ in Ladakh. The actor had to be airlifted and was admitted to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai. His sister Priyanka Roy and brother-in-law Romir Sen looked after him. Now recently, Priyanka and Rahul revealed that the brain stroke could have been avoided had the film’s director Nitin Gupta been careful and not ignored the actor’s health condition. Now Rahul has revealed that the hospital bill was paid by Salman Khan. In fact, in a recent interview, Priyanka and Rahul revealed that they had to stay in the hospital for a month and a half. His medical bills were paid by Salman Khan. Priyanka calls Salman Khan ‘Ratna’ for his help.
After the illness, Rahul was taken to Wockhardt Hospital, where angiography of his brain and heart was done. Later, Rahul was shifted to the ICU of Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai. Recalling the old days, Priyanka said that when Rahul was shooting in Ladakh, his health started deteriorating. She used to talk to Rahul everyday, but in Ladakh, Rahul told her that he could not talk and Priyanka found it strange. They realized that Rahul was not well as he was stumbling while speaking. Then she spoke to Nitin and he said that Rahul is fine, but after not being able to talk to her brother in the morning, Priyanka spoke to Nitin and asked her to send her brother back. Rahul’s illness was diagnosed during a checkup at a hospital in Ladakh and he was brought to Mumbai.
Priyanka remembered that she and her husband were arranging the money and Nitin had also offered to help. He sent some money saying that he was helping her and got the same thing written in the newspapers, but the money belonged to Rahul, which he was supposed to get as fees. The money sent through Nitin was not sufficient. The hospital bill was outstanding. Rahul said that Salman Khan called him and asked if he could help. After this, Salman paid the outstanding bill of the hospital and for this he did not even come in the headlines.
Priyanka said that the most beautiful thing is that Salman did not say anything about this in front of the media, this is called a true relationship with a person, this thing touched my heart. This man is a gem. I mean I didn’t ask him, I could have asked. Someone from the whole crowd comes and asks are you really in trouble and that is the biggest thing, this is called becoming a star.
