This goat is part of CRPF searching party, soldier told the story
Sukma. In Chhattisgarh, a battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force is battling 150 Maoists. A special friend of CRPF is relieving the stress of this ongoing fight in Sukma district. You will also be surprised to know about this special friend. This friend is none other than a goat, whose name is Chamunda. He has been with the battalion for about 10 years. The battalion takes it with it wherever it goes. In this way he keeps moving from post to post with CRPF soldiers.
After the encounter with the Naxalites on Thursday, Chamunda was seen sitting there comfortably eating leaves from the tree and roaming around in the camp. According to a report, the story of Chamunda Bakre joining the CRPF battalion is also very special. In the year 2014, the battalion was deployed in Kankerlanka village of Sukma district. During this time a soldier had found this goat. Then he was only 45 days old and was ill. Its owner had left it near the camp. He was not even able to walk. After this the people of the battalion took care of it and it became healthy again. Now it has become like a family member of the camp. If he falls ill, the soldiers go to Raipur to get medicine for him.
A soldier of the battalion told the story of its naming. He said that whenever we go out on a mission or come back, we raise the slogan of Chamunda Mata ki Jai. He told that that day also we took the name of Chamunda Maa and gave malaria tablets to the goat. After consuming this tablet he got cured and started living in our camp. Let us tell you that this battalion has a very special relationship with the Chamunda Devi Temple located in Ajmer, Rajasthan. Even when the battalion moves from one camp to another in its special vehicle, this goat comes and goes riding in their special vehicle.
