This is wrong! Brahmin student forced to eat eggs in school, father complained

Shivamogga (Karnataka): The headmaster and his assistant of a government school in Karnataka’s Shivamogga are in trouble after the father of a Brahmin student has accused them of forcing his daughter to eat eggs.

The victim’s father has complained to the education department regarding the incident that took place at KPS Primary School in Amrita village of Hosanagara taluk near Shivamogga.

In his complaint, Srikanth had said that his daughter, who hails from the Brahmin community, was forced to eat eggs in school. He claimed that this had hurt religious sentiments as he was a vegetarian. He demanded action against the school headmaster and assistant teacher.

The complaint was also submitted to Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa, Principal Secretary of the Education Department, Deputy Director and the local MLA. To ensure healthy nutrition levels, the state government distributes eggs and bananas to school children twice a week.

Earlier too, on several occasions, religious saints had opposed the distribution of eggs in the school premises. This incident has sparked controversy in the state.
