Those who blew up donation boxes from Hanuman temple arrested, 2 minors included among the accused
Balod. Three accused of theft of donation box from Hanuman temple were arrested. In which 2 minors are also included. According to the police, Devendra Kumar Kosma lodged a report that between about 08 pm on 25.10.2023 and 05.30 am on 26.10.2023, the donations boxes kept in Zamindarin Mata Mandir, Shitala Mata Mandir, Hanuman Mandir were broken into pieces. An unknown thief entered the temple and broke the lock and stole around Rs 10,000-10,500 kept in the donation boxes.
On the basis of the report, crime No. 219/2023 section 457, 380 IPC was registered in police station Daundi and taken up for investigation. During the investigation of the case, a team was formed under the leadership of the station in-charge, the addresses of the suspects were searched and they were taken into custody for questioning, on which the accused confessed to the crime and as per their memorandum statement, accused 1. Harsh was arrested from the Mashrooka stolen from the possession of the accused.
Rs 6500 was seized from Kumar Vishwakarma alias Chhotu, aged 19 years, 09 months, and Rs 4000, Jumla worth Rs 10500 was seized from a delinquent child who was in conflict with the law.
