Those who commit crimes against women will not get government jobs: CM Gehlot
Jaipur (IANS) Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has said that those habitually accused of molesting or molesting girls will not get government jobs in Rajasthan. Officials gave this information on Tuesday.
Such crimes will be mentioned in the character certificate of molesters and they will not get government jobs as soon as such cases are mentioned on the certificate, officials said.
Presiding over a meeting on the law and order situation on Monday, Gehlot ordered officials to take strict action against habitual miscreants.
In the meeting, CM Ashok Gehlot told the officials, “Stopping crime against women and weaker sections is our top priority, record of miscreants should be kept.”
“Their involvement in such cases against women should be mentioned in the character certificate. Habitual miscreants should be prosecuted and disqualified from government jobs.”
Officials said that the CM has ordered to disqualify the miscreants from government jobs. For this, a separate record will be kept of habitual miscreants. The names of such people will be sent to RPSC, Staff Selection Board etc.
If they apply for a job, their applications will be rejected by matching their records with the database of such people.
In the meeting, the CM said that a special campaign would be launched against the miscreants, along with he termed the Bhilwara incident as tragic.
“We are taking prompt steps to give strictest punishment to the accused, though attempts are being made to politicize the case,” he said.
