Thousands of bottles of liquor seized, excise and police team took action

Mungeli. Keeping in mind the elections in Lormi Assembly, continuous action is being taken against illegal liquor by the teams of Police and Election Commission. The police raided and seized 1254 pounds of liquor.

According to the information received, the police and Election Commission team received information about illegal liquor, as soon as the information was received, raids were conducted at two places under the leadership of Excise Commissioner Mahadev Kavre. In the first raid, 1230 pounds of country liquor was hidden in 7 sacks in village Kargikala of Lormi. In the second raid, 24 pounds of country liquor was hidden in the house of Shekhar Kumar, which has been confiscated by the police. In both the cases, the police took action under the Excise Act and arrested the accused.
