Bilaspur: An incident of rape of a girl has taken place in Bilaspur. The crime was carried out by threatening to make private photographs viral by tampering with them. Police have arrested the accused. The matter is of City Kotwali police station area. According to the information, the 21-year-old girl, originally a resident of Janjgir-Champa, used to work in a clothes shop in Bilaspur. In the year 2022, he was identified as Ishwar Prasad Gendale (23), resident of village Palansari in Mungeli district. He also works in a cloth shop. After becoming friends, both started talking on the phone. They also kept sending their photos to each other.

The girl has lodged a complaint at Akaltara police station in Janjgir. Zero case was registered and city police diary was sent. The girl told that on July 13, 2022, the young man called her and told her that he had come to Sims to see his relative. Called her to meet and she went. After the meeting, her photo was edited and made obscene. Raped the girl by threatening to make it viral. He continued to have physical relations with the girl by threatening her. The girl did not inform her family about the incident due to fear and stigma.

When the girl pressurized him for marriage, the young man took her to his village. Both of them also got married in the temple. To defame him, the pictures were made viral on social media. After this he left the girl. At present the police have arrested the accused youth and are investigating the matter.
