Threatened shopkeeper and people with knife, accused arrested
Dhamtari: Magarlod police has arrested the accused who threatened shopkeepers and people with a knife near Dussehra ground. According to the information, police station in-charge Magarlod Uni. Chandrakant Sahu got information from mobile that a person was threatening the shopkeeper and the people nearby with a knife near the Dussehra ground of Kareli Chhoti.
On which immediately police patrolling was sent to the spot and a person was surrounded and caught from the given place. On asking his name and address, he told his name as Monu alias Mahendra Thakur, age 28 years, resident of Jamli. Act 25,27 of Arms Act related to possession of knife. When found guilty, the case was registered and taken up for investigation. And the accused was sent on judicial remand. In the said proceedings, police station in-charge Magarlod Uni. Chandrakant Sahu, PR Gopi Chandrakar and constables Manohar Gaikwad and Vimal Patel had special contributions.
