Threatening call received in Tata office, chaos created, who turned out to be the accused?

Bengaluru: A threatening call was received yesterday morning at the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) office located in Electronic City, Bengaluru. In this, a bomb threat was given to the office due to which panic spread among the people. Police gave this information. He said that this call was made by a former employee of TCS, who was angry over being fired from the job. Police said the former employee had allegedly made the call in an inebriated state.

According to the police, the accused woman is a resident of Belagavi, about 500 kilometers from Bengaluru. He was fired from the job by TCS. The angry woman had called a driver of the company. He reportedly said that a bomb had been planted in B Block of the complex. Police said the woman knew the cab driver since she worked for TCS. Police said they inspected the B Block area with the bomb disposal squad and found nothing. Police said they have taken the statement of the accused woman at her hometown in Belagavi district, located near the Goa border. Further action is being taken.

Police said that the name of the accused woman is B Shruti Shetty. Police officials have spoken to the accused and his parents. They found that the accused woman was angry with some officials of her company because they had refused to re-hire her after her higher studies. Actually the woman had resigned from TCS to pursue post-graduation degree.

But when she returned, the company refused to take them back. She became frustrated and made the call in a huff, a police officer said. A notice has been issued to the woman to appear before the investigating officer. Shetty’s father is a hotelier. He has served as a member of the Municipal Corporation in the past.
