Three arrested including mother and son, Shailendra Nagar theft revealed
Raipur: Three accused including mother and son have been arrested in the Shailendra Nagar theft case. According to the police, Narendra Kumar Jain had lodged a report in the Kotwali police station that he lives in Shailendra Nagar, Raipur and works in real estate. On 14.11.23 at 04.00 pm, the applicant along with his family members locked the house and went out of Raipur for a picnic. When the applicant returned home at around 02.00 am on 16.11.23, he saw that the lock of his house was broken. After entering the house, he found that the lock of the cupboard inside the room was broken and gold, silver jewelery and cash were kept in the cupboard. There was no money. An unknown thief broke the lock of the applicant’s house and entered the house, broke the lock of the cupboard and stole the said Mashrooka, that on the report of the applicant, crime number 452/23 section 457, 380 Bhadvi was registered against the unknown accused in the police station. The crime of was registered.
On which, under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Police Station Kotwali inspected the incident site in detail and interrogated the applicant, his family members and the people nearby in detail regarding the incident and arrested the unknown accused. Investigation was started. Team members installed hundreds of CCTV cameras in and around the incident site. Along with scanning the camera footage, informers were also deployed in the case to trace the unknown accused. On the basis of the method of incident, it seemed to the team members that the above incident of theft was carried out by an external gang, on which the team members started working focusing on the external gang. Efforts were also being made by the team members to identify the unknown accused through technical analysis. During this time CCTV On observation of the camera footage, the team members received important information regarding the accused involved in the incident and the accused was identified as Sunil Sona alias Bilwa. Sunil Sona alias Bilwa is a vicious thief, who has committed dozens of theft incidents in Raipur in the past, in which he has also been detained in jail. On the basis of technical analysis, the presence of the accused was found to be in Sindekala, Balangir (Orissa). On which, under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Kotwali police station was sent to Sindekala in Balangir (Orissa). The team members reached Sindekala and conducted a raid to trace the accused. Suraj Sona, son of Sunil Sona alias Bilwa, was found present during the raid. On interrogating Suraj Sona, he said that he along with his father Sunil Sona alias Bilwa and Sanjay Chauhan, resident of Kabir Nagar Raipur, had carried out the above mentioned incident of theft.
During interrogation, accused Suraj Sona told that before the theft, recce of the house was done and on the date of incident, he, his father Sunil Sona alias Bilwa and Sanjay Chauhan together broke the lock of the applicant’s deserted house and entered inside and broke the cupboard and kept it in the cupboard. The cash and gold and silver jewelery were stolen and some part of the stolen cash and gold and silver jewelery was kept by Suraj Sona and his father Sunil Sona alias Bilwa in their house which was in the knowledge of his mother Poonam Sona and some Sanjay Chauhan took the portion to his home and kept it in the knowledge of his wife Pooja Kumhar and after 01 day, Suraj Sona, Sunil Sona alias Bilwa and Sanjay Chauhan, all three went to Orissa by train with some stolen cash and gold and silver jewellery. After reaching Orissa, the three took the stolen gold jewelery to goldsmith Mohan Saraf, resident of Bagumunda, to get it melted and brought the melted gold back.
On which female accused Poonam Sona and Pooja Kumhar were booked under section 411 of Indian Penal Code for having stolen goods in their possession. Has been arrested under. Accused Suraj Sona, female accused Poonam Sona and Pooja Kumhar were arrested and stolen cash amount of Rs 1,65,000/-, 522 grams of gold jewelery and 03 kg 341 grams of silver jewelery and the stolen amount deposited in the bank account were recovered from their possession. Jumla worth Rs. 35,78,332 has been seized. The accused involved in the case, Sunil Sona alias Bilwa, Sanjay Chauhan and Mohan Saraf are absconding, all possible efforts are being made to trace and arrest them.
