Three including two minors arrested in murder case

Bihar. The police was investigating the murder case of Ajay Kumar alias Rajeev Mahato, a resident of Behat Masnadpur in the FCI assistant police station area of Begusarai. Three suspects, including two minors, involved in this incident have been arrested. The murder was revealed to be a dispute over financial transactions in the liquor business.

In the press conference on Tuesday, SP Yogendra Kumar told that Rekha Devi, resident of Bhat Masandpur, was murdered by her husband Ajay Kumar alias Rajeev Mahato and a complaint was lodged when she did not return home. As soon as the matter came to light, a case was registered and investigation was started. Taking this incident seriously, a team was formed under the leadership of Sadar DSP Amit Kumar.

Through continuous intelligence gathering, inspection of CCTV footage and technical investigation by the team formed, the body of missing Ajay Kumar alias Rajeev Mahato was recovered from a well near Kiran Pokhar in Masnadpur on November 25. The post mortem was done at Dharmabhaga Medical. College. Later a team was formed and those who carried out this incident were arrested.

SP said that the team has arrested Hariyam Kumar, resident of Masnadpur of Anurag Kumar Nagar and Rohit Kumar, resident of Tekrichak of Galhara police station area, in the case. During the search, the mobile phone of deceased Ajay Kumar alias Rajeev Mahato was recovered from the arrested Hariyam Kumar. During interrogation, all of them confessed their crime.

Ajay Kumar and others said that they run the liquor business in the village by importing small quantities of liquor from other states. In this they all plan a fight over a financial deal and call Ajay to Kiran Pokhar. After this he threw the body in the well and killed him by suffocating him. Sadar DSP Amit Kumar also participated in the press conference.
