Three months of good governance in Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh has got freedom from the misgovernance and chaos that prevailed in the last five years. The general public is relieved by the formation of the new government. In just three months of the formation of the new government, people have realized that everything of the general public will be heard. New schemes have been started to bring the poor, farmer women and youth of the state on the path of progress. This shows the success of the concept of good governance of the state government. As soon as Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai took over the reins of the state, a new environment has been created for development in the state. Shri Sai believes that the basic mantra of democracy is good governance. True democracy cannot be imagined without good governance.

As soon as Chief Minister Sai, who has a gentle and simple personality, took command of the state, he started working on the guarantees given by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to the people of the state and fulfilled most of the guarantees in just three months. It is indicative of his administrative efficiency and successful leadership to fulfill the guarantees given to the public in such a short time. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi himself had praised the work being done in Chhattisgarh under the leadership of Shri Sai.

Chief Minister Sai believes that to fulfill the resolve of developed India, it is necessary for Chhattisgarh to develop. Keeping this in mind, the government of Chhattisgarh has started the work of making a road map to make Chhattisgarh a developed one by the year 2047. To keep the state’s economy dynamic, special focus will be given to sectors with new potential. The development of forest areas, especially Bastar and Surguja, has been kept on priority. Here special attention is being given to road, rail, air and communication connectivity. IT in Nava Raipur There are plans to develop it as a hub. Apart from this, I.T. in old Raipur and Bhilai. Including promotion of based industries.

Through the implementation of the new education policy and expansion of technical education, focus has also been placed on creating skilled human resources in the state, so that the youth can easily get employment. For this, education infrastructure is being strengthened. The ITIs running in the state are being upgraded. To strengthen technical education, technology institutes will be built on the lines of IIT in Jashpur, Bastar, Kabirdham, Raipur and Raigarh from this session. There are preparations to implement Chhattisgarh Higher Education Mission Scheme to promote higher education in the state.

The policy of zero tolerance for corruption is being adopted in the state. Arrangements are being made to prevent tax evasion through IT based tools. Planning Commission will now be called State Policy Commission. Best practices in other states of the country are being studied and work is being done to implement them in the state.

The axis of the state’s economy is its farmers and agriculture. Keeping this in mind, Chief Minister Shri Sai has started the country’s largest input assistance scheme. Farmers are getting the highest price for paddy here. Fulfilling Modi’s guarantee, SAI has given the price of paddy to the farmers here at Rs 3100 per quintal. The amount of difference between the support price and the procurement price declared by the state is being given to the farmers under Krishak Unnati Yojana. Farmers are being given financial assistance of Rs 19257 per acre.

The rain of money on farmers under Krishak Unnati Yojana has created a new environment of prosperity in the state. Under this scheme, an amount of more than Rs 13,320 crore is being transferred to more than 24.72 lakh farmers in their bank accounts through DBT. This has brought enthusiasm to agriculture as well as business and industry in the state. Former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee created the state of Chhattisgarh. On the occasion of his birth anniversary Good Governance Day, the Chhattisgarh government paid tribute to the farmers of the state by giving them an amount of Rs 3617 crore as two years’ outstanding bonus in paddy procurement.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while saluting the mothers and sisters of Chhattisgarh in a program organized in the capital Raipur on March 10, said that today another guarantee of theirs is being fulfilled. In the programme, he transferred Rs 655 crore at the rate of Rs 1,000 each to the bank accounts of more than 70 lakh married women through DBT. He said that this scheme will prove to be very effective in the self-reliance of the mothers of Chhattisgarh.

Say has been successful in awakening a new light of good governance even in the forest areas of the state. He has included the development of backward areas like Bastar and Surguja as his priority. Here, along with roads, communication, internet connectivity, work is being done at a rapid pace on facilities like housing, drinking water, road electricity for the people of extremely backward tribal groups under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana. This has given new hope to the forest dwellers.
Free rice for five years to the poor families of the state, approval of Prime Minister’s residence to 18 lakh families, responsibility of making ready-to-eat bricks to women’s groups, Chhattisgarh Udyam Kranti Yojana for employment to the youth, direction to make a hub in Nava Raipur. Many works like Pahal have been done. Work is also being done at a rapid pace to provide tap water to homes in rural areas. A budget of Rs 500 crore has been kept to provide financial assistance of Rs 10,000 per year under the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Landless Agricultural Laborers Scheme for agricultural labourers.

It has also been decided to launch Invest Chhattisgarh scheme to speed up industrial development in the state. Apart from this, there is a plan to construct Korba-Bilaspur Industrial Corridor to promote industrial activities near the national highways. It has also been decided to prepare a new industrial policy in the state after discussing with all the stakeholders. Katghora-Dongargarh rail line will also be constructed to increase rail connectivity in the state. On the lines of Nalanda campus of the capital, hi-tech libraries will be started in other cities for the youth of the state and Livelihood Center of Excellence will also be established in Nava Raipur.
