Three security personnel injured in Meenpa, encounter with Naxalites
Sukma: Three security personnel sustained injuries during an encounter with Naxalites in the vicinity of Minpa, located in Sukma district. Further information is pending. It is worth noting that an encounter occurred in the southern region of Padera, Sukma, Chhattisgarh, while voting was underway. The incident transpired at around 1 pm.
The clash involved the 85th Corps of the Central Reserve Police, deployed for area domination duties on election day, and the Maoists. The encounter endured for approximately 5-10 minutes, following which the Maoists were observed fleeing with 2-3 casualties. Evidence of bloodstains and signs of individuals being dragged were discovered at the scene. All the security personnel involved are unharmed, and an ongoing search operation is in progress in the vicinity.
Simultaneously, in the Bande police station area of Kanker district, a team comprising BSF and DRG personnel had ventured out for area domination during the voting process. An encounter with DRG personnel took place near Panawar at approximately 1 pm, resulting in the recovery of AK47 rifles at the scene. The search of the area is ongoing, with a possibility of some Naxalites having sustained injuries or casualties.
