Jagdalpur: The Kotwali police station of the district has arrested three vicious robbers Keshav Kavi, Praveen Singh Parihar and Banmali Baghel along with one other person who committed robbery incidents at different places in the city.
During interrogation, Praveen Singh Parihar, who was involved in the robbery along with the accused Keshav Kavi and the child who was against the law, accepted the robbery as per the instructions of the accused Keshav Kavi and divided the amount received in the robbery. from them. Out of which the remaining amount obtained from theft has been confiscated. In this case, Keshav Kavi and Praveen Parihar are being arrested and sent on judicial remand and the child who has violated the law has been taken into custody and produced before the Juvenile Court. In another case of theft, mobile thief Banmali Baghel, father of Dashrathi Baghel, resident of village Chhotedevda Gadiapara, was arrested and a touchscreen mobile of Vivo company was stolen from him and recovered.
Police station head Kotwali Leeladhar Rathore said that during the investigation of reports related to robbery at different places in the city, on the basis of CCTV footage of the robbery, technical evidence and the method of crime, the main accused of robbery, Keshav Kavi, has been arrested. After which the Malgaon resident was arrested. There are 10-12 cases of theft registered against him, in which stolen goods were also recovered and there is also a case of rape against him, for which he has also gone to jail. During interrogation, accused Keshav Kavi told that he urgently needed money to start legal proceedings in all the above mentioned cases. Therefore, with the intention of collecting money, he started stealing again after coming out of jail in November 2022 and during this, in about a year, he along with his friend Praveen Parihar and a boy fighting with the law, convinced them. And, by luring them with money, committed a total of 15 thefts. He admitted to committing 16 petty thefts.
Accused Keshav Kavi used to give a part of the money earned from the robbery to his two associates to help them in the robbery. These vicious thieves stole a motorcycle from the District Education Office, gold and silver jewelery and cash from the house of Atal Bihari Bajpayee in Dharampura district, a motorcycle from Shanti Nagar district, cash from Pathraguda and Abdul Abdul Kalam from various places in the city. Took. Gas cylinder and groceries. And cash from Kalam Ward, camera, mobile phone, powder, perfume, bags and cash from Chhatrapati Shivaji Vaji Ward Tetarkhuti, gold and silver jewelery and cash from Brijrajnagar, gold and silver jewelery and cash from Adawal. It is being told that this amount was stolen from a house in Asana. In which crimes are registered in Kotwali police station and Bodhghat police station. The total value of Mashrooka stolen in all these cases has been estimated at Rs 5 lakh 06 thousand.
Two motorcycles, gold and silver jewellery, a mobile phone, a camera and cash with total estimated value of Rs 4 lakh 16 thousand 500 were recovered from the accused. Rs 3 lakh 14 thousand were recovered from the accused. Assets worth Rs 850 were recovered and two of his associates were arrested. On Sunday, the police got remand by presenting the accused Keshav Kavi in the court.
