TI held guilty, line attached for threatening an officer

Bastar. Bilaspur police had beaten up the Naib Tehsildar posted in Karpavand of the district and his engineer brother. Chhattisgarh Administrative Service Association has opened a front against the police for this illegal action. Meanwhile, IG has taken action and line attached the Sarkanda TI. At the same time, a report has been sought from the SP on the entire matter. The association has announced to protest by taking a mass leave on November 21 in protest against this incident. On the other hand, the police has started defending itself. Police officers are trying to prove their action right on the pretext of investigation.

In fact, on the night of November 16, Naib Tehsildar posted in Bastar district Pushpendra Mishra reached Bilaspur late at night after getting information about his mother’s ill health. He was going home with his brother and father on a bike from the railway station. Then the police patrol team tried to stop him near Ashok Nagar of Sarkanda. Pushpendra stopped his car after going some distance. Angered by this, the policemen started abusing him.

On which Pushpendra Mishra got angry and started introducing himself as Naib Tehsildar. But, the policemen did not listen to him and caught him like a criminal and brought him to the police station. It is alleged that police station in-charge Top Singh Navrang spoke rudely to Naib Tehsildar Pushpendra Mishra in the police station and also beat him up while abusing him.
