Tipper falls into ditch, driver dies
Keylong. A painful road accident has occurred on the Manali-Leh road in Lahaul-Spiti district. A tipper fell into a deep ditch. The driver has died in the accident. The police have taken the body into their custody and have started further action. The tipper was going from Manali towards Darcha. During this time the driver lost balance with the vehicle. The tipper went out of control and fell into a ditch in the Lather drain near Dalang of Lahaul on the Manali-Leh road. The driver died in the accident. Police received information about the accident on Thursday morning. The police reached the spot and took the body into custody. The family members were informed about the accident. The body will be handed over to the relatives after post-mortem. The deceased has been identified as Khayal Chand, son of Pintu Thakur (29) of Aani. SP Keylong Mayank Chaudhary has confirmed the accident.
