The condition of inflation is that green vegetables which were available at Rs 30 to 40 per kg have now crossed Rs 100. In such a situation, eating green vegetables for poor people is no less than a dream come true. Due to the increase in prices, many people have stopped buying only green vegetables. Instead, they are filling their stomachs by eating vegetables of potato, soybean and gram.
Tomatoes have become costlier than Rs 200 a kg in the national capital Delhi. Stop talking about ginger. It has become Rs 320 per kg. People are keeping distance from the vegetable shop only after hearing the rate. The special thing is that vegetables are so expensive in Delhi when food items are supplied from Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
Coriander has become Rs 100 a kg
Except tomato, the prices of other vegetables have increased more than double in Okhla vegetable market. If we talk about the retail market of Delhi, then the prices of vegetables have skyrocketed here. Tomatoes are being sold at Rs 220 and capsicum at Rs 100 to 110 per kg. Same is the condition of coriander too. The price of coriander, which was sold at Rs 40 to 50 per kg in the retail market, has reached Rs 100.
These green vegetables have also become expensive
Similarly, the price of cucumber has also caught fire. The cucumber which used to cost Rs 20 a kg till a month ago, now its price has more than doubled. People have to spend 40 to 50 rupees to buy one kg of cucumber. Similarly, okra has become Rs 50 per kg. The special thing is that cauliflower has become three times more expensive. Cauliflower was Rs 40 a kg till 30 to 35 days ago. Now its price has gone up to Rs 120 per kg. Similarly, lemon is being sold at Rs.80 per kg, green chillies at Rs.100 per kg and bitter gourd at Rs.60 per kg.
